After all, you still need time to just sit there and take a look around.
"Oh yes, time flies and before you know it you're old," said Pippi. "Come autumn I'll be ten, and I suppose I'll be past my prime then."
Love can be learned. And there's no better learners than children.
"But nightshirts aren't dangerous," Pippi assured her. "They don't bite anybody except in self defense."
There's no age where everything is experienced as intense as during childhood. We old people should always remember that.
"Why I walked backwards?" Pippi said. "We live in a free country, don't we? Aren't you allowed to walk any way you want?"
People should carry their childhood from beginning 'til end inside of them.
Everything great that happend in the world, happened first in someone's fantasy.
Better to be betrayed some times than to never trust anyone.
Freedom is when you don't have to do things like everyone else does them.
I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.
"You really should go to school and learn to write better," said Annika. "No thanks very much," said Pippi. "I did that a whole day once and got so much learning stuffed into my head that it's still sploshing around in there."
"Delightful! Delightful!"
"What's so delightful?", Tommy asked.
"I am," said Pippi pleased with herself.
"What's so delightful?", Tommy asked.
"I am," said Pippi pleased with herself.
"Come in or stay where you are, it's entirely up to you," called Pippi. "I never force anyone!"
For me it was very instructive to grow up inbetween people of different kinds and different ages. Without them or me knowing, I learned from them about life and how difficult it can be at times to be human.
If only I brightened up one grim childhood, I am happy.
It's dangerous to keep quiet for too long. Your tongue shrivels up if you don't use it.
